It Was All "HIS GRACE"

Raj was a hardworking man. But two months ago, his incharge changed. 

This senior started to insult Raj for his behavior, honesty, attitude, emotional nature and much more. Raj was getting frustrated now. He was losing his cool. 

One day he decided to leave the job. He had written his own resign and was about to leave but his sister's wedding was at the doorstep. It was scheduled just after one and half a month. If he is jobless now, how will he get her married? His mom would kill him. All these thoughts were making him scared. He stopped himself and tried to adjust in the workplace. 

Next week, He got his salary certificate duly created from the Director for sister's marriage related loan. After that he started to file for the loan process with the bank. He was hoping to get loan soon and leave job by paying his dues. 

But the office issues worsened everyday.

Tired of all these daily quarrels, he left the job impulsively one day. He could not take that all. He was done. He was done. 

Now, after few days, the bank officer called and informed that his salary certificate is having a technical glitch. He needs to submit the corrected version. 

His super boss i.e. the Director who created this himself, was helpful but now since he had resigned, he had no choice but to do something on his own. 

One day, he converted the certificate from pdf to word file to edit it and tried to alter it on his own but then his principles came his way. His soul asked him loudly:

"Oh, Dear Raj, if you are also going to do cheating and lies like your senior does at office so proudly, then there is no difference between you and him, dear. Stop portraying then, that you are a good soul, stop justifying your resignation to yourself. It means you are also a big and hidden liar. If you are good and true, try something better. Try something which is genuine without altering this certificate. You are intelligent man. Think, think. Read the document again. It will have something which will solve your problem. Trust the truth and your soul."

He then talked to the officer again and asked the issue which was delaying the process. 

He clarified that "Sir, please see the certificate carefully along with bank statements. In the month of July, salary of June is mentioned in the letter. Same way for August, salary of July is mentioned. Salary of previous month not the current one is mentioned. This is erroneous. July should mention July's salary, is not it?"

"Dear Sir, this error is creating confusion. Please check your document and correct it. Salary certificate will create issues in audit of loan later. Your case will get stuck. Correct and resubmit it."

He read the language again. He saw that the line said, 

"Following amounts were credited to Mr. Raj's bank account in the following months". He got the point from this line itself.  

Now he called the officer and told him, "Sir please you also read it carefully. The point you mentioned basically says:

"The following amounts were credited in the bank account of Raj Aggarwal in the month of and then:

July month the amount is 8xxxx INR

August month the amount is 8xxxx INR

September month the amount is 8xxxx. INR.

So on.

Now, sir the letter language says these amounts were credited in the bank account in the mentioned month which means These amounts were deposited in that month in the account. 

It does not mean that the amount deposited is the salary of that month. It simply says these figures were credited. There is some technical misinterpretation at your side. 

For, Example: we all know in corporate offices, salary for July 2023 gets credited in the bank account by 7th of next month i.e. 7th August 2023, same way August salary gets credited in the bank account by 7th Sept. 2023. I hope you understood it's just the interpretation of the language and difference of perspective. Nothing else.

Rest you can check all my bank statements and all documents. They are in conformity with the certificate and amounts only. Please go through it again. Please.". 

Bank officer realised yes; it was a valid point. His certificate was mentioning these amounts are credited in the next month clearly. There is nowhere explicitly written that this is the amount of salary for that month. He is right. Interpretation matters. Perspective matters. 

Hence, he got out from this problem sooner. His loan process resumed without office help, thankfully. God's grace was with him. His grace was with him. 

But then later, departmental delays were creating issues as he had filed case online telephonically and procedures were now shifting to offline track due to some online upgradation happening. His file was moving very slowly within the bank's different departments. 

That day he was thinking and he gradually observed his room decor. He saw there was some issue with the wall paint as per his numerologist brother who said this paint is dangerous. The color was yellow with blue color lamps painted over it. This wall was in north and north east direction respectively. So he decided to alter and got it coated with a simple golden wallpaper as per online recommendation by another astrologer. 

Also the god idols were placed in south direction. Ideally it should be in east. So he shifted them to east and disposed off broken idols. 

Then his room lacked a wall clock too. He saw a video fof wall clock direction and got it placed in appropriate one. 

His almirah was getting dampened with moisture and black fungus was growing at the back of it. He thrashed that wooden almirah with his hands for hours and removed the fungus himself. He was so worried for his siter's happiness and scared of so many things that he just did what he felt could help him. Desperate Raj. Poor Raj.

All he was doing considering loan and his sister's wedding. He just wanted her to be happily married and nothing getting stuck because of his abrupt decision to leave job so harshly. He was scared. 

He started correcting the Vastu from other angles also. 

Gradually the bottlenecks started to disappear. His file started to move again. Some speed there. His grace was working gradually. 

Now, Another day, a technical surveyor called him and asked if he is available in office. 

Raj said "No sir. I am not there right now. Why? What happened? Is it something urgent?"

The surveyor said "yes Sir, i need to confirm if you are the employee of the mentioned office for our loan process. Its a physical visit to confirm your employment status. Its a part of our rules."

He realised he is in a big mess now. Now office help is needed. Nobody could save him except office people. He called his friendly colleagues but one of them was on medical leave, another simply denied any help in this case as it will lead to disciplinary action for him and one was on a visit to hometown. Shit. Nobody to help. 

He then reluctantly called his Director with whom he had a good vibe generally but the man said "Raj, since you are no longer an employee of this place, hence i wont lie with bank officials. You will have to tell the truth else i will tell dear. Come back, talk to us, agree with us then we shall do something for sure."

Yesterday the same Director was saying his father on phone call to convince Raj that he will get him also married sooner, as he trusts his honesty, attitude and simplicity. And today this thing is happening. 

Poor Raj felt cheated with man's promise. He felt manipulated. He was broke. 

Raj called the surveyor again and asked him to enter and ask about him with anyone he feels right. He was now sure that this loan will not be granted. 

He told his father "Dad, now the loan case stands closed, lets search for some other alternatives. I don't know if this marriage will occur. Let's borrow from some of our relative or a money lender. Let's give up this idea of loan. I am done from here too. I am wrong. Let's leave."

Suddenly, the surveyor called and said " Raj Sir, your survey is done. I got my answer. Proceeding ahead to bank"

He asked "What answer, did you enter office today? Whom did you meet there? What happened? Please Tell me."

Surveyor said he asked one of the peons who were leaving for his daybreak today. He confirmed your employment status. So, congrats technical survey is done. I am moving the file ahead. 

The peons were completely unaware of the abrupt resignation letter by Raj and they were also very fond of Raj's down to earth nature. Raj used to help them emotionalky and sometimes petty financially. So one of them said "Yes Raj sahab works here. He is a good man."

Raj's survey also got approved. God was with him everytime.. God's grace was saving him by an inch everytime. Indeed. 

Still file was moving slowly. It was almost 35 days his loans was stuck. Raj was scared as marriage was approaching. Venue payment was due. Caterer payment was due. Bridal Dress payment was due. 

Raj was damn tired with this struggle. Jobless, loan so slow and tensions evetyday.. 

He decided to give it up but then his mom said loud " Lets keep a puja at home for this marriage. Our reverred Guruji will help. Trust me all. God listens to true prayers."

Raj said " We dont have so much surplus money thats why we are taking loan mom, no? Plz No need of any puja. Please dont do any such thing."

Mom said " Raj, when we cant find solution to a problem, then we must let God handle it. Son, you just do one thing, pray with utmost faith now. Prayers work when we cant. Trust me bete. Trust me."

Raj was mute. He thought God was taking so many exams so why would he listen to him? This all will work? 

His father said "I know what you are thinking. You realised, in this loan case all your stages cum exams got qualified when you were hopeless everytime. Who is doing it, Raj? You? Me? Your mom? People? No. Not at all. There is some supreme power above all of us. May you call it Ram, may you call it Allah, may you call it Mahadevji or our reverred Guruji. There is some eternal power which regulates all of us. 

He notices everything. Everything

 Remember, If its bound to happen anyhow by his grace, it will happen anyhow by his grace only. Thats called his power and destiny which works when nothing works. 

You called your friends also for funding last night, they did not help but trust him, he does help when noone does. Trust him dear and pray."

Listening his father's wisest words Raj said "okay. Lets have the puja at home. Jai Guruji." 

They all participated with whole heart. Raj even cried silently while the devotional songs were being played in the name of their Guru, their Lord and Mahadev. He was emotional and scared. He was hopeful somewhere deep inside too. 

Raj was just mesmerised and lost. After two days, he got a news that his loan was approved, now only disbursal is left. 90 percent task stands done. 

Raj was quite happy with this. He thanked Mahadev in his society temple by pouring the auspicious jal on the holy Shivling. 

He thanked Guruji by standing next to his photo and saying Jai Guruji silently in his mind. 

Raj simply wanted a happy memorable marriage of his sister. His entire family was rushing here and there for shopping and all with their little savings only. Loan money was needed to settle venue, caterers and other expensive items.. He was still skeptical about disbursement process. He needs to see the money in the account sooner. 

Before disbursement also, Ravi faced issues. He did not have his recent passport size photo and The officer had an accident with the car of ACP of that area. 

But another officer came up after few hours and he said photo is there from their previous loan records with the bank. Now he requested the officer to process it as there were only 10 days left. Then the head said you need to fill the physical form and do procedures offline also not just online. So you also speed up. 

Raj started to fasten up. He brought his parents also as they were also co-applicants in this case. 

Head said since today is Friday eveni g and all procedures are just complete after EOD hence they might have to wait for three more days in case no message comes up tonight. Saturday and Sunday being off. Monday it will be done. 

Raj was tired as its been around 40 days. He felt what will happen and when?

That day, Raj was waiting eagerly for the disbursement message at 8pm.

He was still scared and getting hopeless. He was out with his father. 

Suddenly, He saw a boy crying and begging for food and money. He realised he is also in somewhat similar situation. Like the boy, He is begging for bank loan for his sister's wedding. Nobody to help like this boy has noone. Fine, he will help him. He will. 

Raj saw the pain in his eyes. He went on a to a shop, did paytm from phone, bought a parle G biscuit, chips and handed it to the boy and said humbly " Eat beta, don't worry, don't cry. Eat."

The next minute a message flashed in his phone. Ravi was in tears. He was crying loud. 

Message said the following:

"Mr. Raj, we feel glad to announce that your loan file no. Xxxxxxx82t has been duly approved and the loan amount is disbursed today in your savings account. Kindly check the balance. Intimate if not received.
