Kill Or Get Killed Part- 14

Joya was not happy with what they show in prime time. Whatever they show has been telecasted thousands of times. Same old story of an illicit relationship between two people went sour and resulted a few accidental deaths and an attack on the honorable minister. The TRP was not very encouraging; she needed more on this story. Suddenly her cell phone rang, she pressed the call button.

“Go ahead…...the holdup…...okay……did they get her?..........the attackers are arrested…….”

She went on talking for a few more minutes and blurted, “Try to film both the places and send videos to the studio.

She ran towards the managing editor room, she entered his room without knocking it and said, “Sir, we have got a breaking news, some people tried to kill a woman near Devdurg.”

“You mean the woman might be Seema?”

“I’m sure she was, the attackers have been arrested by the Devdurg police.”

“Where is Seema?”

“I’ve asked Shukla to get a clue on her and tell us as soon as possible. Should we run this breaking news?”

“Yes, we should, but be careful we don’t have to sour our relation with the state government also.”

“I’ll manage that.” said she, and she ran towards the telecasting room.

 

August 14th, 10:30 PM

DIG Shahil Khan was in his study going through some paper work, when the LED TV started running a breaking news.

TWO THUGS TRIED TO KILL A WOMAN NEAR DEVDURG, WOMAN ESCAPED BUT THE THUGHS WERE ARRESTED BY POLICE

Shahil took a few moments to look at the breaking news. As he saw the news for a while and his eyes narrowed. He reached for his cell phone and searched for SSP Devdurg’s number which he found after a little search and he dialed the number.

“How are you Khan sir?” said the voice from the other end.

“I’m fine Shekhar, what is the story behind this woman attack scenario.”

“I don’t have much of this story, one of our SHOs informed me about it, she let the woman go, but the attackers were later arrested by SHO city on behalf of a call given by an anonymous roadways employee.

“Did someone interrogate the attacker?”

“Yes, they didn’t tell anything yet. Why are you so curious, is there something behind this incident?”

“Not sure, please let me know if the attackers open up.”

“Sure, I’ll.” And the cell phone screen went blank.

Shahil tilted back and put his head on the cushion of his chair.

There is something big behind this hold up. Devdurg is the junction city between Junagarh and Veer Nagar, Seema might be coming back to Veer Nagaer via Devdurg. And someone tried to get her killed in between the two cities. 

He called up SHO city and CO City and instructed them employee sufficient force on the parade ground and snipers on the adjacent buildings.

He also called up PAC commanding officer Rana to employee two section of PAC at the parade ground. He wanted no trouble in his city.

He pondered over the illicit relationship angle and frowned.
