[Love Hits Hard ] Ch4- Is he Bad or Good?

During assembly, I didn't see Cindy or any other from their group. Everyone was mumbling and trying to look at me secretly. News of my fight with Cindy was spread all over school like fire. After assembly, Joshua came to me asking about the bus incident.

"Hey Emy, I heard something happened on the bus. What happened?"

"Nothing much I just had a little fight with Cindy." 

"Cindy Brown, that bully !!?? Are you alright? Do you want to go home ?" 

"No, don't worry Joshua. Nothing happened to me. I am fine." 

We started walking towards our class. Today no one was paying attention in class. I heard some of them talking about me, telling each other how bravely I fought against Cindy. Some were appreciating me saying that I taught a good lesson to Cindy. But some of Cindy's "pick me girls" were against me. Well I didn't cared what everyone thought about me, I did whatever I thought was right. During the third lecture, Noah and his group entered in class. Now the discussions started more impatiently. Thankfully Cindy wasn't with them. They say in the same place as yesterday. 

"By the way Ari, why this group comes in between of classes? I mean why don't they attend all classes like us? And I didn't saw them in assembly too." 

"Emy, these are the most super rich students of our school. Attending school is just a drama, in reality they all have personal tutors so they don't need to attend this classes. And this school works under the orders of Noah's uncle. So no one dares to say anything to them. But I still can't believe that no actions have been taken against you. Hey Daphne don't give me that look [Daphne was staring at Ari with anger ]. What I am saying is just that this school is owned by Noah's uncle and Cindy is Noah's girlfriend then why didn't Noah tried to suspend you from school? I mean why isn't he doing anything after witnessing his girlfriend's humiliation?"

Well Ari was right, Noah could have suspended me or had given me a punishment till now. Or he could just simply call my parents who would have then killed me for this fight. But why didn't he !? During lunch break I discussed these things with Joshua. 

" I mean seriously why is he not doing anything. What do you think does he have bigger plans like hiring some people to attack on me or something like that."

" Well I don't know. Maybe he can do that. I mean he is super rich. By the way isn't it uncomfortable? I mean I can go tell him if it is for you."

"What do you mean? What are you talking about?" 

"Seriously you didn't notice that till now. Well I have been keeping an eye on him since morning. After he got seated in class till now he is just staring at you like there's something very interesting. I mean you are interesting but isn't it uncomfortable!?"

I didn't knew that he was staring at me because I didn't tried to look at him today.

"Let him do whatever he wants. We can't do anything. There's no such law that you can't stare anyone. And today he is not the only one to stare at me." 

After I got seated on my seat I took a glance toward Noah just to see if Joshua was telling truth. And well that was true he was staring at me.I looked away but wait why am I looking away he should look away in embarrassment. He was the one to stare. 

After lunch break when we were getting upstairs he was just ahead of me with his friends. Suddenly he stopped walking and gave me a way to go ahead of him and enter in class before him. For a moment I was shocked but then I walked away like I didn't saw him. When we were on our way towards bus I again saw him staring at me. This time I didn't look away. And we made an eye contact. He wasn't embarassed and was not trying to look away. Alan came near Noah and whispered something in his ear after which Noah looked away. I wanted to thank Alan for this. 

After reaching home I directly went to my room because I wasn't feeling well. But my phone started ringing with a lot of messages. I looked my phone finding a lot of threatening messages. And I knew who were they. Cindy and her friends who else can do this. The next morning as usual I got ready for school without getting threatened by those messages. Joshua's message was also there informing me that his house route is confirmed so he is not gonna come to my house for bus. 

After waiting for a few minutes my bus came with that horrible horn. 

"Are you all right?" The bus driver asked me. 

"Yes sir," I didn't know what to call him.

"Don't call me sir. You can call me Vincent. Everyone knows me by my name so it's weird to hear sir. By the way I witnessed your fight with those mean girls yesterday and I am happy to see that you spoke against her. I am just a little worried because till now whoever went against her had to take a transfer." 

"This ain't gonna happen this time."

I turned around to sit on a seat finding Daphne gesturing me to come towards her. She was sitting with Noah and his group. They all were staring at me. I didn't want to go there so I pretended as if I didn't see Daphne and got seated in the front seats. I heard someone approaching me, assuming Daphne I pick my bag which was lying on the seat beside me. But for my surprise, it was Noah who approached me. He got seated beside me still staring at me. And then he suddenly introduced himself to me.

"Hi I am Noah Maxton and you are Emily Cooper right ?"

I didn't want to answer him but I did. 

"Yes," I gave him just a one word answer signaling that I didn't want to talk but he again asked me a question and this time it was a strange one.

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

"No, why?"

"Just asking. Well what do you think about me?" 

I wasn't able to understand why is he asking me this but soon I understood everything. He was just trying to make fun of me. 

"Well I think words like handsome, good-looking, charming, cute, and gentleman suits you NOT at all. You are just a spoiled kid nothing more than that."

"Ughh I am hurt by your answer Emily," he was laughing. 

Bus came to a stop and Ari and Alan climbed up. Alan came towards us trying to take Noah with him. 

"Wait a minute Alan I just forget to tell her the real reason for what I was here. Emily [He seemed a little bit serious now] I am not at all against you. I clearly know that Cindy was doing wrong and I am a criminal [He winked an eye towards me ] but this ain't a movie where you will become a heroine. Listen to me this time I saved you by not letting Cindy to complain or use her power against you but next time I won't help you. Actually why to wait for next time, just get transferred somewhere else." 

He returned with Alan to his seat as if his descision was final and his wasn't gonna hear my opinion. Daphne and Ari sat next to me but didn't asked me anything because my face was telling that I was in shock and deep thinking. I didn't talked to anyone till we reached school. I waited for Noah to get down of bus so that we don't cross eachother but he was waiting for me. Everyone from his group including Alan went away but he didn't even tried to get up from his seat. I thought to run away from there so I walked towards the bus exit as soon as possible but Noah came to me. The bus was empty just we both were there and Vincent. But he wasn't paying attention towards our conversation. 

"Think about what I said and by the way [He came closer to me] do you really think I am not handsome?"

"Yes, I really think that you are very rude, arrogant and not at all handsome."

He went down from bus before me but he seemed a little bit upset. He went inside school with Alan who was waiting for him near school gate. Ari started questioning me.

"Tell me everything that happened between you and Noah." 

"Wait before you say anything let me tell you that I got a new boyfriend and I think he is the one for whom I was waiting my whole life. Oh it's his phone please don't mind and excuse me," we pretend to be happy for Daphne. 

Then Ari looked me in a questioning way reminding me of her question. 

"Ok see nothing happened between us. He was just pretending to look caring I don't know why."

"Emy you can't judge a person just by having a small conversation with him for only twice. You know today Alan talked to me [This time Ari wasn't blushing but was serious] when we were waiting for bus. He told me to keep you away from Cindy and her group. He said that Cindy went for a short vacation. He thinks that her short vacation is going to be for some months because she doesn't care about studies, school or attendance. Believe me, Noah is not that bad. I have never seen him thinking about any other girl except Cindy. He is trying to protect you from Cindy. He sent Cindy on this vacation so that she can't take action against you. I know he asked you to get transferred [I wanted to interrupt her because he didn't ask me he ordered me but I didn't interrupt her] Just think about this for once he is saving you. You know your father works in Noah's father's company. If he wanted he could have removed your father from company and you from school. He is just helping you he is not pretending to help you. I am telling you because I have known him since childhood he is not like what you think. "

Maybe Ari was right but still I have the same question why is he trying to protect me? Is he bad or good?
