'I have sent the attendance sheet. Everyone mark your attendance' -Miss Sweety sent the voice record.

'Okay, Mam. Done.' - the text messages of students arrived

Manohar was a good student. He scored good marks in all subjects. He keenly participated in co-curricular activities which included Debate, Music, Dance and Sports. To prevent Corona, the Government of India decided to impose lockdown and hence, schools were closed. This impacted the children a lot. The same was going with Manohar.

'But please dad. See if there is anyway' - requested Manohar.

'You better know, I lost my job and therefore, there is no source of income in our house and we have limited savings.'

'Hmm....'

'So, from now you are not going to attend the classes' - said his father.

'Ahh! This Corona is very bad and the government isn't helping us.' -said Manohar in an angry tone.

Manohar's dad was a person who held a good job but he lost it during the pandemic. Therefore, Manohar was forced to leave his studies and to do work at the tender age of 12. Both his father and Manohar were labour now, who worked for food. Their master treated Manohar as if he was an animal and the wages they got were not satisfactory.

This is not only the condition of Manohar but many children like him still are forced to do child labour and in return, they even don't get enough food to feed themselves.
