When I started learning Alphabets, my parents and relatives started talking about my future. Professions that first came into the picture are Doctor, Engineer, IAS, and all top-notch jobs.

That day when my 10th board exam results were out. All were in awe, I was the school topper. And it was when everyone started giving suggestions. Maximum votes were given to pursue engineering and prepare for JEE entrance exam to IIT's, India's most favourite colleges.

My dad came and asked me that what I was interested in? I replied, "Agriculture".

After many arguments, fasts, sleepless nights...so on. They left it to me. I have opted for science in 11th and 12th. Later completed BSc in Agriculture.

After that, again everyone suggested preparing for government exams, where I could get a higher position at one of the agriculture offices. I have smiled and didn't answer them.

My dad offered me money to set up a granite business. I refused the same.

Later, one fine day, I took 10 acres of agricultural land for a yearly rent and started organic farming.

I have put multi-layered crops.

Yeah, the yield was less than expected and has delayed. After all, it was organic farming, years together chemical fertilizers have been sprayed and soil needed time to detoxify itself.

And it gave chance for everyone to poke at me. They advised me to stop experimenting on fields and asked me to use fertilizers.

No, I was very stubborn. After 3 years, mother earth's heart melted. I started to experience motherhood. And the yield got doubled and tripled in the next two seasons.

All were shocked and said, " You have nailed it, man". That day, I alone know, that was only starting phase.

Today, I am the CEO of the reputed company which deals with a varied range of organic products, whose turnover is in crores. The market range is worldwide.

We all have dreams, but it might be due to the dreams of parents, relatives, or society (indirectly), we are forced to do something else. When we chase their dreams instead of ours, the end result would be nothing but a hand full of dead spiritless sand grains.

In the desert we find mirage, but we should not lose direction, we have to carefully choose to walk to the Oasis.

Take inspiration and motivation from elders, listen to their life lessons and also try to find out the talent hidden inside you.
