A Maid

She wakes up at 4:30.

Takes bath, performs pooja and finish her household chores.

Reaches office by 5:30.

She along with her team cleans elevators, workspaces, cabins, washrooms.

Around 12'o clock, she will have food from her carriage containing curd rice and some pickle. It is both her breakfast and lunch.

By 2:30, she is off. Sometimes she do overtime and reaches home by 5 pm. She has a one-year-old kid who will be waiting for her mom at the door...

Her name is Laxmi, she is beautiful woman with calmness on her face.

She is of 21 years old. She talks less.She gives a warm smile every time she comes across someone.

Despite of being abused and manhandled by her husband for giving birth to a girl child, she never hate him and always say that he is her love for this life.

I asked her, "Wouldn't you get tired by the end of the day?"

She laughed and said, "I am a mother, I have a responsibility of nurturing my child in all the ways I can. My child's smile is a life charger for me. All the love begins and ends there."

Though, she plays a role of a maid, a daughter-in-law, a wife, and a woman every day. She relinquishes her whole universe to her child.

It's all about Motherhood.
