My Writing Journey......

Writing has always been my solace, a means to delve into the depths of my thoughts, and gain a better understanding of myself. Since childhood, I’ve had this habit of putting pen to paper, but I never truly focused on it. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic struck, it presented me with an opportunity to unleash my imagination and give words to my thoughts.

Before 2020, I used to write but never shared or cared much about it. But everything changed when I discovered Story Mirror, an online platform for writers. Filled with newfound determination, I took the plunge and began sharing my writings there. The moment my first poem got published, an overwhelming joy filled my heart. I realized that my words had the power to touch others.

As I embarked on this writing journey, I soon discovered that there is need for improvement. I immersed myself in the works of numerous authors, reading their stories and poems, and it became clear that my writing had yet to find its own voice. But I firmly believe that growth is vital, no matter how small or large, and I was determined to evolve.

To my surprise, I started gaining followers who were captivated by my words. Their support and encouragement became the driving force behind my journey. Writing primarily in Hindi, I discovered that it was more than just a language to me; it was a medium through which I could express my deepest emotions. However, I also realized that personal growth knows no boundaries. I yearned to improve myself in every possible way.

One area I sought to develop was my English writing. I admit that my English skills were not as polished as my Hindi, which sometimes hindered my confidence. But I firmly believe that hesitation should never hinder progress. On Story Mirror, I not only wrote poems but also ventured into storytelling, a genre I had never explored before. I even penned quotes in Hindi, English, and to a limited extent, Urdu, as I had a basic understanding of the language.

However, I knew that to truly do justice to Urdu, I needed to delve deeper into its nuances and expand my knowledge. I aim to master this beautiful language, enabling me to express myself more authentically. Recently, I have completed three years on Story Mirror, and although I acknowledge that I am not an exceptional writer, I find solace in the fact that I am still learning and growing. I used to stick to a limited genre when writing, but as my journey progressed, I felt a strong desire to break free and explore new territories. Poetry became my gateway to different genres, allowing me to delve into romance, mystery, and even fiction. This exploration has been liberating, pushing the boundaries of my creativity.

I am grateful to my followers and readers who have been an integral part of my writing journey. Their unwavering support has fueled my passion and motivated me to push my boundaries. I am indebted to the various authors who have penned exceptional content on this platform, inspiring not only me but countless others.
