Paradox Of Life

Paradox Of Life

I am walking all alone in a dark night along the narrow pathways of a vast paddy field. I have no idea where I am going and but one thing is clear. I am on a mission, with a very strong sense of determination and focus I told myself I am going to get it this time.

It was drizzling and the winds blowing very strongly as if their main goal is to push me out of the way into the muddy fields. I looked up at the sky. The clouds are moving fiercely like soldiers raging for war.  The moonlight was scattered around the clouds as if like an aftermath of a big blast. Somewhere far away, I could hear dogs howling and crickets screeching; I see a tall dark shadow of a palm tree few yards away.

Everything along the sight was dark and grey. But I have no tinge of fear in me. Past failures have emboldened me. I kept walking along the muddy path. As I reached the tall dark palm tree, suddenly I felt a big flash and a scorching heat. Before I realize if I'm struck with lightning, everything became so dark and there is eternal silence. A darkness I never have seen and a silence I have never felt.

The mission I was chasing on suddenly became meaningless. A strong sensation of nothingness engulfed me. I couldn't feel my body or any other physical being. There is nothing to touch or feel, nothing to see or hear. Everything around me feels infinite. Time became standstill. There is an eternal peace all around.

I woke up suddenly and realized it was a nightmare. I reached out of my watch and saw it is already 7 AM. I have to get ready soon. I have a whole lot of to-do list, a project to complete, bills to pay, messages to check, desires, goals, etc, etc.

A moment before I was no more and now I exist with all kinds of errands to be done. But am I sure if I am going to exist the next moment? The answer is always a liars paradox. Yes and No and yet life goes on.
