The Cheated Life

She cried and cried. Her eyes almost flooded with tears. Radhika was too much influenced by social media. She is 21 years now who works at a call center in Delhi. Her parents used to live in Harayana and she lived in Delhi alone . She had alternative day and night duty at her office. Her life was going all set and good. She was a beautiful girl. Her eyes were blue, brown silky hair, red lips and a loving face. On top of all this the main things was that she was a very innocent girl. She did not have a smartphone and never even wanted to have one. She used to live in real world and not the digital social media world . Her colleagues at office was her good friend though jealous of her looks. Her colleagues were all modern and attracted to social media world. They also had forced Radhika to come to social media.

Finally one day Radhika bought a smartphone and also participated in the social world She opened new accounts, meet new people in social media. But still she was not exposed to the devils of this social media. One day after she returned home from office and opened her facebook she found a boy named Varun had sent her friend request. She accepted it without any hesitation. As soon as she accepted the request, she got a message from Varun saying " Hi !! I am Varun from Delhi. I found your account really interesting. " Radhika read it and thought what to reply and without thinking much she also told him about her. Next morning again Varun texted her and wanted to meet. Radhika had denied to meet him as she had his office. Then varun wanted to meet her the next day and Radhika being free accepted to meet him. Next day they met in a park and then went had dinner in a restaurant. They soon became good friends and used to meet after their office.

One day finally Varun proposed Radhika and she was also too happy as she also has started to feel for Varun. They used to go to parties often and spend time together. Finally one day Varun called Radhika to her house. Varun also lived alone in Delhi. One day Varun invited her to his house for his birthday party. Radhika went to her house after she finished her shift at offic . She saw that only three boys who were Varun`s friend was at the party. Soon they had dinner and Varun pulled Radhika to her bedroom and switched off the lights and next day Radhika woke up seeing Varun and her three friends together on the bed. She cannot understand anything and then varun woke up and told that it was nothing and they were just sleeping together as she had drunk a lot last night and so did not remember anything. Radhika then went back to home and as she reached home she got a message with some photos. As she opened the photos she was shocked to see that those were her own naked photos. She was confused about those photos. One another message came and wanted 50 lakhs if she wanted that those photos not to get exposed on the internet. She tried to call the number but no one received it. She understood that Varun was behind it.

She texted Varun but no reply came. She called varun but it was switched off. Then she rushed to Varun`s house but found out that no one lived there. She was worried too much. She did not even have one-third of the money to pay. Next a message came "Yes I am Varun but not Varun. My actual name is not Varun and I am someone else. If you want those photos back give me the money by tomorrow and if you try to go to the police I will expose those photos, so better avoid those police." 

Radhika was traumatised and anyhow started to arrange for the money from her friends. She told her friend that she needed money for her dad`s treatment but none of her friends helped. She also went to many of her relatives but she could hardly arrange for a lakh. The next day came and the number called her again. She was afraid and as she received the call, the voice from other side told " If i dont get the money by evening , the photos will be out ". She was also unable to tell her parents. She requested the anonymous "Varun" to not harass her like that, but that man was not convinced at all. Evening arrived but money was not arranged and also she could not go the police. 

Soon it was morning when calls came from her friends and her blood ran cold on hearing that the photos are out on internet.

*She cried and cried. Her eyes almost flooded with tears. The number called her back but she did not receive the call anymore. She took the final decision . 

Her parents were called from Harayana by the Delhi police. They came and almost had a heart attack as they saw the dead body of their beautiful daughter Radhika. She had committed suicide. She jumped from the fourth floor. 

The " man" was caught after an year although he did not receive a death sentence but though if he would had received a dead sentence , the destructed parents will never get their loving daughter back .
