“There’s no path to happiness, happiness is the path.”

Aanya was sitting in garden reminiscing about what happened yesterday. Yesterday was her birthday, she was very happy, felt energized, and was in high spirits. It was the happiest day for her but the very next day she felt low and depressed. She was thinking why her birthday can’t be everyday so that she can be happy every day. Like other ‘normal days’ she was fine but not happy.

In her deep thinking, she saw a small kid playing in the garden, he was extremely happy giggling all the way through slides and swings. His smile and happiness caught her attention. She wondered it must be his birthday or special day because of which he is happy. But the same thing she observed for a week. Now the question ringing in her mind was-“How can a person be happy on “normal” days too?” She thought deeply and finally a smile sprang on her face. She felt wonderful as she discovered the key to the treasure of happiness. She realised everyday was a “great” day, but her perspective and mindset categorised them into good and bad.

Every day is not perfect but the ability to overlook imperfect things along with focusing on reality is the key to happiness. We are similar to Aanya, we feel very happy (or train our mind to be happy) on certain occasion/ days. So, why can’t we be happy every day? Find happiness in every moment. There are no good or bad days; all are great days. The difference is belief, if we believe this is a great day it will restructure our mind to be happy and if we believe its bad day it will divert our attention to negativity.

In a nutshell, the power to make our day great lies in our hand, it’s the hidden superpower which all of us possess but some use. Find happiness even in gloomy situations. Try to look for positive in failures and obstacles. Focus on lessons we get from them. The most important thing, don’t forget to smile. The programming of our mind is such that we recognize sadness earlier than happiness, but we can change it!! We recognize some happy days and are successful in making them happy because we notice even smallest thing which make us happy. So, let’s be happy, smile and use your unleash the superpower within you.
