A Lesson From A Kite

THE KNOWLEDGEABLE KITE

One afternoon, while spending time adoring the sky and its beauty I witnessed some kites flying in the sky. I realized ‘Makar Sakranti’ was also approaching and ran to add my kite to beauty of the sky. With equilibrium between wind and kite, the kite started soaring high in the sky. With chakri rolling around the terrace, I realized that ‘we’ control our ‘kites’ using ‘string’ with help of ‘chakri’.

Let’s simplify. For a kite to fly properly ‘flyer’ need to use string and chakri properly. We are the flyers of our kite i.e. our life. Now the question arises what’s chakri and string of our life. Our biggest-our mind is our chakri and our attitude is our string. Our mind (chakri) generates thoughts and beliefs which determine our attitude (string/ manja). The more equipped we are with our chakri with positive thread of thoughts; the more efficiently our kites will fly. But be cautious; be equipped with positive and good string not with negative string.

Check your thoughts- are they pointing in direction of your goal? If yes, then its 50% probable that your kite is going to soar high in the sky. If not, just change your thoughts, simple. Now the question is what about rest 50%? It’s in your own control!!!!Yes, let’s say you have great thoughts, but how you use them, how you develop your attitude? Are you maintaining positivity through every situation? Are you positive in handling failures and obstacles? The questions are endless. But this is what determines how high your kite will fly in the sky.

Stop!!! Caution! Don’t ever pull the string when kite faces downward direction, when we face any obstacle or failure, we have negative attitude, giving up attitude, filled with depressing and negative thoughts, wouldn’t your kite fly down in such circumstances? The thing we should do is maintaining positive strings (thoughts) learn a lesson from each failure and move on. If we do this our kite will always face up and never be bogged down by difficulties. When kite faces up with your full grit and determination make it soar high. Now I think you are well equipped with the manual to fly the kite of life. Let’s make our kite soar highest! Let’s fly high!
