It was a bright morning and a child named Rahul was playing in the fields. To him, playing and having fun meant more than anything in life. At the age of ten, he started realizing that life is not just about happiness and joy, but it’s an amalgamation of both sorrow and pleasure.

As time passed and he was in the 10th grade, he had developed a deep bond of love and affection towards his teachers and friends. This was apparently the best time of his life and perhaps it was. He continued to peruse his goals and passed 12th grade with flying colors. He felt that everything would remain the same, but events proved otherwise. Since childhood, Rahul had a special liking for music and had already decided to devote his life to it. By the time he completed his college along with his friends the reality of life set in and he had to undergo many interviews in order to land in a comfortable job. He could not muster the courage to tell this to even his parents. And then what would happen? He joined the rat race and ended up becoming an engineer. His job was really wonderful, but he was dying from inside as he did not get the satisfaction from his job, which he could only get if he followed his heart and passion.

At the age of 28, he got married to an engineer and he thought that now life would be perfect, and no sorrow could ever knock his door again. A year later, his wife gave birth to a beautiful daughter and everything seemed ecstatic. Time and tide wait for none and one could say that time just flew by and he grew older with each passing day. Finally, it arrived the day which is indeed a memorable one in every father’s life. Yes, it was the day of his daughter’s wedding. He thought that today his little princess will change her name, she’ll make a promise and he would have to give her away. Standing in the bride's room, he said, ‘’ I’m not quite sure, I just feel like losing my little baby girl”. But change is the law of nature, and she got married. He thought that now he would lead a happy life with his wife and frequently visit his daughter, who lived in the neighboring town. But misfortunes never follow a calendar, they come uninvited. Three months later, a huge mishap occurred. His beloved wife died, he wept and wailed in grief but death is the ultimate destination for each one of us. Moreover, his daughter had also shifted to a foreign land, and he was left on his own. And then what else could happen? After 4 years, he fell sick and then when he was living some last moments of his life, he realized that life is not a journey but a destination. His life flashed before his eyes, and then he realized that he had never chased his dreams, always lived in the fear of what tomorrow will bring and buried his purpose forever.

When he was finally lying on the death bed, he was going to leave behind all his property, degree, job but will only carry enormous guilt of not following his dream!
