The New Me!!!

Rita is overjoyed as the 2nd weekend of the month is just 4 days away. Her favorite day of the month, apicnoc day of sorts with her husband, a date, a time away from family responsibilities, in-laws, kids...

Every month, she looks forward to this break from her routine married life. She is a complete homemaker, a very good and obedient daughter in law and a great mother to her 2 boys apart from being a superb wife. If, so many roles.. like Durga Maa. A complete middle-class ‘bhartiya nari.’

But what did she know, that this weekend would be a kind of revelation to her of sorts. Rita's husband Raj had booked tickets for the movie 'Tumhari Sulu', a new release.

Come Saturday morning, she is ready early once breakfast is done with her dear family. Lunch and dinner would be ordered in time for the rest of the family as it was Rita and Raj's complete day out.

As usual, Rita and Raj went first to India Gate for a walk down, enjoyed the sights, the park, had a boat ride, and enjoyed ice-creams in the chill weather. What a day to revel in all the attention from her husband. They were truly a couple in love.

After lunch, Raj and Rita went to PVR Cinemas to watch the movie. They took their special couple seat that Raj had booked especially for them. What a lovely time.

Come at 2:30, and the movie starts. What a fun movie to watch. Rita could relate completely to Sulu in the early part of the movie. She was enjoying herself thoroughly. But the movie progressed, she was struck with the opportunity that lay before Sulu. Soon, she was surprised to see the behavior of Sulu's husband towards taking up a job. Ultimately, Rita was enamored by the confidence displayed by Sulu in the job of a Radio Jockey.

As Raj and Rita came out of the theatre, it was new and renewed Rita with Raj. She felt something had changed inside her, a new passion had developed within her. Rita was quiet all through dinner and the way home.

Now, she was determined to develop herself and figure out new opportunities that she could explore. She was super excited to know that a housewife can also create an Identity for herself.

She was gung-ho about what she could try out just like Sulu who became the new icon. And thus, a new Rita was born.
