The Shining Star

Once there lived a girl named Pragya, one of the daughters of farmer Harilal and his wife Savithri. Farming has been the only source of income for the family, and she has gone through many financial issues. Pragya has been very good in her studies and studied well for a better life for herself and her family. Pragya's elder sister, Kavya, was weak in her studies and always went behind fashion and money. After completing her 12th grade, she married a rich garage owner and never came back to her parents. Pragya, on the other side, studied very hard and got admission to a good university with a scholarship. She always believed that something that we get will be fruitful only if there is hard work behind it. After completing her graduation, she got a placement with a company in Mumbai. This was a life-changing moment for Pragya. Being from a rural area, she couldn't cope with her colleagues. Even though she was able to complete her work on time, her ability to coordinate work with others didn't work well. She slowly started falling into depression; she had many moments where she questioned her ability. Finally, she dropped the job and decided to go back to her town. She faced many questions from her parents and relatives: "Why did you study this much to be here? Now what shall we do? We cannot marry you to some here as you are educated this much, nor can the city people come for you as you are not having a job"?. Pragya, being stub-boned in her decision, decided to promote her village farming to the next level. She had many ideas on this topic, and she presented them to the collectors of the district, who were interested in and supported her project. Her project became a great success; she was greeted by the whole country, even though she was awarded the national award for innovation.
