TREE IS A GIFT

Once there was a village called Halipur, there lived a little boy named Raju with his parents. His father was a person who always wanted to travel and never do any

work, his mother was tired of advising him but he never listened to her. One day, his father went for a journey but never returned. Raju and his mother was in a worse condition, they had nothing to eat or drink and there was no money with them. They sold their cows and goats, which were Raju’s companion but nothing helped them. His mother started started going for household works in nearby houses and Raju was not able to go to school and study because his mother cannot afford that too. Raju was sad that “he cannot help his mother in any way. Finally after thinking a lot he got idea and he went to nearby forest, he started plucking fruits and medicinal plants from trees and plants of the forest. Then, he sold the fruits in bazar and medicinal plants in Ayurveda shop. As they were forest product all were

astonished by seeing the different varieties of fruits and plants. Everyone like the sweet fruits and the plants were very useful for their health problems. Many

people came asking for them but the shopkeeper was not having much stocks for them. So he went to Raju’s house to ask him about the fruits whereabouts. Raju was amazed by his question. He told shopkeeper that ; Raju: I got them from a far place!

The shopkeeper ; I want more fruits tomorrow and I will pay double for them. On hearing this he became very happy that he cannot express. From next day onwards he went to forest everyday a collected many varieties of fruits and plants as he could, he also kept a share for animal and birds and he sold it in the bazar. By the great demand for the fruits, he earned lots of money which he used it for his studies and he was also able to help his mother with some money.

Raju was also grateful to the forest to the forest and trees, he never allowed anyone to cut trees which was his god.
