The Stranger (Part-14)....

Meera woke up in the morning with the coffee made by her mother Sara. Always Sara used to let her two kids wake up with coffee made by her and with her sweet kiss. Sara had always tried to keep her both daughters happy and protected. Whenever she gets the thoughts of Manas, simply she used to look at Meera and Rima. Their smile used to be the biggest strength for her to overcome her pains. After giving coffee to both Meera and Rima, Sara rushed to the kitchen to make the cooking. Rima was still in bed. Meera had her coffee and went to the washroom to get herself ready. While she saw her face in the mirror, she saw the scratches on the top of her left side chin. Now she recalled, this had happened when yesterday those stranger kidnappers were trying to take her from her stranger protectors. As it was winter and she was tense about all such happened there, she couldn't feel this. Now while washing her face she could see it. She finished her routine work and came to her room to get ready for going to the office. At that moment there was a call from Ashok. Meera took the call and Ashok told her, " Meera, just now Ajit called me. He gave the excuse of being at a party yesterday for not responding to my call. I didn't ask him anything much about his party as I can understand that he was telling a lie. How come at about 6 O'clock a party can start and he could attend it straight on his return from office? I had told him as discussed yesterday. He pretended to be shocked to listen to that. Anyway, let us see what he is doing next? I had deputed some more security staff for you. I suggest that today you avoid to go office by your company bus and take the auto, our two staffs will be with you while going and returning too. Handle Ajit carefully. Ok, have a nice time. Bye. " Then the phone got disconnected. Meera dressed up quickly and had her breakfast. Then she rushed to the office. As she came out of her house and asked for an auto, she saw two ladies behind her and they showed the ID to her. Meera saw them for the first time. Both of them accompanied Meera and kept silent. As Meera was about to ask them something, they signalled her to keep quiet. Silently Meera kept travelling with her two stranger protectors. As her destination came all of them got down from the auto, they took Meera to a corner and said, "Madam, don be worried. We will be here and will be with you on your return trip. Now you must be very careful. We think around 5.30 pm your office will be over and we will meet you here at that time. Have a good day." Meera thanked them and walked towards the lift of her office.

As Meera entered the office saw that Ajit had not yet reached. She quickly went to her seat and opened her working computer. She checked the connection and was surprised to see that it was available. She thought how could it happen in the absence of Ajit? That time she saw Bikash and Asit are coming towards her. As they reached her, they said, " Madam, yesterday night we both were here to complete some works and requested Ajit sir to keep the connection on. We had some modifications request on the software, which we had mailed to you. Actually, we were trying to work on that and workings were to send to you. Kindly check that and advise us. " Meera listened to them both and thanked them for this. As both of them left, Meera put the pen drive to copy the software. Then she went on going through the workings and modifications mailed to her by Bikash. After half an hour Ajit came and entered his cabin. Meera saw by that time only 60 per cent of the software copy was done. It may take another 30 minutes to be completed. Then she entered Ajit's cabin and wished him. Ajit asked her to have her sit. Meera could see the disturbed face of Ajit. He was not giving straight look to her. This was giving more confirmation to her doubts on Ajit. Then Ajit told Meera, " There is bad news for you Meera. Ashok had informed me over the phone and confirmed through the mail that they don't need this software and your assistance. I had just forwarded the same mail to our Head Office and waiting for their response. This could have brought you promotion and fame. Now you have to wait for further instructions. " Meera listened to Ajit and gave her reaction acting, saying, " Why sir? What happened? Why they don't need this? I had given myself the best efforts to develop this. Even yesterday I had a very bad evening while going back to my house from the bus stop. Some people suddenly fought there and one of them tried to catch me and gave a big scratch on my chin. I just ran away from there and saved myself. " Then Meera showed her scratch to Ajit. She looked at Ajit's face, his expression was a bit abnormal. Then Meera said, "Sir, I am not feeling well since then and want to take leave for some days. If you can be kind enough to approve the same, then I will be obliged to you." Ajit listened to Meera and said, " Now you just wait for the instruction of Head Office. Had you been physically hurt yesterday? If so, then you need to have some rest and a medical check-up. Now you be at your place and I will inform you. " Meera thanked Ajit and left his cabin. She reached her table and saw the copy of the software was completed. Then she took out the pen drive and kept it in her bag. She transferred the mails of Bikash to her personal mail ID and then deleted those emails.

Meera was sitting on her chair and tried to delete some steps of the software developed by her. By doing so automatically the working of the software became invalid. Nobody except her can do those corrections. Now, this software became useless. After sometimes Ajit called Meera and said to send that software through mail to him so that he can send that to the head office. Also, he asked Meera to mail the leave application to him. Then Meera left Ajit's cabin and came to her desk. She mailed the software to Ajit under the copy to Bikash and Asit. She mailed her leave application to Ajit for fifteen days. After all such activities, Meera saw the time and it was then 5.30 pm. Meera packed her bag and said bye to Ajit and left the office. As soon as she reached the road, she saw her stranger protectors and all of them sat in the auto. Meera was feeling very happy as all the plans worked in a perfect way. She gave a winner's smile to her both protectors.
