Imisi, a young girl in her teens. Her parents are very rich that she gets everything that she wants with just a command.

Although, Imisi is the only child her parents have, they didn't brought her up in a way that she'd be rotten, and be a spoilt brat.

Imisi graduated from the junior high school, and was ready to go to high school after a month of holiday.

When she visited her new school, she met so many new people that she doesn't know.

After going to the assembly, they came back to the class, and that's when their class teacher , Mr. Daniels, told them to choose a partner that they want to sit with.

Then a young fair girl named Precious entered the class, and apologized to Mr. Daniels for being late to school.

He didn't really have any problem with it since it was their first day of school.

Everyone picked their seatmate, leaving only Precious and Imisi on the ground,so, they sat together.

Weeks go by, and their friendship blossomed a lot, that they were now each other's best friend.

They hardly talk to anyone else apart from each other.

Most students in the class we're jealous of their relationship, because, Imisi's parents are rich, while, Precious is from a middle-class family.

Both of them are very intelligent, but Precious is more intelligent a little bit than Imisi.

First term passed, and Precious came first, Imisi second.

This went on and on. They got to their last year, and Imisi's mum was very furious, and called Imisi one day.

She sat her down and told "why can't you take the first position?"

Is your friend the only that can take that?

Why must you be in the second?

What Imisi's mum told her , started ruminating in her mind, and she said that at any cost must she have the first position.

On Monda morning, Imisi didn't act up any how, and just flowed like how things have always been between them.

She went up to Adam, Precious crush, and told him to make sure that he distracts her in other to make her not to be able to read very well for the upcoming exam, so,that she could be the valedictorian.

After weeks of saying that, Imisi couldn't stand the fact that she did that to the person she called best friend, just because of one mark.

She went up to Precious, and told her what her mum said, and what she did, and she apologized openly to her.

Everyone in the class started throwing hates at her, and all she could do was to bear it, and cry.

Precious forgave Imisi, and even without needing to cheat, Imisi became the valedictorian, and it made her wowed.

She told herself that had it been she became the valedictorian from cheating, she wouldn't have been able to look at herself in the mirror.

Parents should understand that every child isn't the same, they're different, and their purpose is different.

Some will make it in school, while some will make it in life.

Just because Precious is always ahead of Imisi with one mark doesn't mean that her life isn't good, or, better.

We should let the children live their lives, and only support them through whatever that they want to do.

We should stop forcing our children to achieve the goals we failed to achieve.
