United we stand

It’s almost evening. Jaya is staring at the sky in a bored manner, leaning against the roof. The birds are returning home in groups. What beautiful patterns they make. Jaya heard that by flying in pattern, they protect themselves from hawks and vultures. How easy it is to work in a team. Next to her, his brother Biltu is busy playing games on his mobile. He has been fighting at the 32nd level of Candy Crush for a while.

Jaya is a third year student of Engineering, Biltu is class seven. Their father worked as an accountant in a private company. He died in a road accident five years back. Their mother Anubha is a teacher in a private school. As long as their father was there, everything was very smooth; there was no shadow of poverty. But after his death, Anubha is having a hard time with her old mother-in-law and two kids. The maid for whole day has been forced to leave. Jaya and Biltu don't want to eat without Grandma's cooking. Ramadevi's cooking skills are really good. Seeing Anuvar's suffering, Ramadevi herself said that she would take care of the cooking. The days are going on with a single domestic help. Jaya and Biltu both are students of well-known English medium schools. With school fees, almost every month it costs money for private tuition, mother-in-law's medicine costs - almost all of Anubha’s salary gets exhausted. 

Jaya is quite talented. After ISC, she got a chance in Engineering after clearing Joint Entrance Examination. To fulfill her father's dream, Anubha admitted her daughter to an engineering college. She took two more new tuitions to cover the expenses. She has to time to look after her son. Since then, Biltu has been addicted to mobile games. By the way, Biltu is not able to get rid of the intoxication at all. Jaya wanted to run her own expenses by teaching some tuition; Anubha did not agree. Only two years - once Jaya gets a job, her burden will be much lighter. But Jaya knows about the miserable condition of placement. Her mother does not want to understand that it is not easy to get a job just only by studying attentively.

Meanwhile, the cost of Biltu's education is increasing. One thing has been going on in Jaya's mind for some time now-a-days. Her friends talk a lot about YouTube. She has heard from friends that they also watch YouTube videos and cook. Jaya is not addicted to mobile at all. Inattentively she opened the YouTube with the mobile taken from Biltu and searched for Bengali recipe. There were many types of food recipes. Tham cooks various dishes and feed them. And she uses to cook with very little oil and spices. How about opening a YouTube channel to make healthy food!!- a little different Healthy Bengali Food channel. It will not waste time, but there is a possibility of some money. There is no reason of any objection from Anubha.

Ramadevi is a very modern woman. Jaya shows her a couple of videos explaining the matter to her. She happily agrees as it could help Anubha financially. And there is no cost to start it. All you need is a smartphone and utensils- everything is there.

Biltu is quite good at handling mobiles. After watching few YouTube videos, he quickly learns how to create a channel, what is a thumbnail, what keywords could be used to reach more viewers, and so on. He also learns how to edit videos. After getting a new job, the intoxication of games goes down from his head. He deletes all the games from his mobile phone. Jaya will procure things outside, tham will cook, Biltu will do editing and uploading - as a group they will stand up against financial difficulties; just like the birds in the afternoon returning to nests.
