This is how it started

"Dina! What happened? Are you alright?" exclaimed my friend Sara.

 I couldn't speak. Hot tears gushed out of my eyes as I laid my head on her shoulders and cried.

"Hey--" she consoled me, "it's okay...you can tell me what's wrong, I'm here for you".

 She hugged me tightly while I poured my heart out to her. A teammate saw me crying and called the others. It was intense. I wasn't in a condition to talk to anyone. As the crowd began to fade, "Hrihan" pushed past it and approached me. He looked at me with genuine concern in his eyes.

"Why are you crying? Are you okay? Tell me what happened.

I couldn't bring myself to tell him anything. But he was persistent. He wouldn't leave until I told him the reason. It was unexpected of him to stay by my side considering the fact he and I were just casual friends. 

I eventually did tell him. Even though he didn't say much, he and Sara being next to me felt more than enough.

A teacher walked in and they had to leave. However, I decided to stay back in the cafeteria for a while. Little did I know, what would happen next would turn my world upside down.

A few minutes later, Hrihan closed in with my water bottle in his hand.

"Where were you? I took your bottle and came looking for you but I guess you'd already left".

I grinned and thanked him. I felt too low to realise what was actually going on.

That night, I wrote pages and pages off my diary. I found myself smiling when I mentioned him. Oh goodness!...

"If only I knew, he'd be the boy I'd give my heart to".
