Queen Elizabeth II was Queen of the United Kingdom. Her reign of 70 years and 214 days was the longest of any British monarch and the longest verified reign of any female monarch in history. She devoted her whole life to the service of her people, which was the promise she made on her 21st birthday when she was in South Africa. She was admired for her smile. The world paid tribute for her. She had a power to rule her people. She was kind to them.

Under her stewardship, the Crown signed many treaties of peace and friendship with Indigenous People in Canada and Aboriginal people in Australia and New Zealand. She never omitted to visit the native peoples in those nations specifically each time she visited, paving the way for inclusion and equality. It is not surprising that the native Salish People in Canada awarded the queen the title โ€˜Mother of All Peopleโ€™.

Queen Elizabeth also did more for charities than any political figure or monarch in British history: she donated to charities that support the poor, refugees and migrants, and she assumed the patronage of multiple good causes. This passion had not waned over the years, and very recently she personally donated to charity appeals to support Ukrainian refugees.

When the stories of nations are told, they include heroes and villains. Queen Elizabeth has departed with the crown of โ€˜chief heroโ€™, and this is how she will be remembered when the story of the country and the crown is told from generations to generations.
