You Reap What You So

You Reap What You So

There are times when you must be,

Both firm and ironclad,

For if you're not then all will see,

And some will end up mad.

If you are unable to step away,

Or to let someone else step in,

Then there is only one thing I can say,

Continuing on that course in a way is a sin.

It is not a problem to lend a hand

When certain occasions arise,

But there's one thing you don't understand,

You must learn to compromise.

It is a problem to insist on redoing anything,

On the premise of "making sure,"

For after a time frustration you'll bring,

Making that everyone else's problem to endure.

Maybe I sound like I lack pity,

Perhaps that is the case,

But my experiences make up a litany,

So those excuses I'll no longer embrace
