A Life Or Survival?
A Life Or Survival?
We were so carefree
When we were younger
Weren't we?
We were kids who played with toys
Before we even spoke and then,
Grew up older to play with friends,
We were teenagers
Who kept daydreaming all the time
And then,
Grew up to be young adults
Dreaming about our ambitions and life,
We grew in every phase of our lives
Trying to make most out of it,
Live like we were never going perish,
Love like it never ends,
We enjoyed each moment of it back then,
Only to realize
We were now living with them,
Taking care of responsibilities
That we never had to deal with before,
Trying to make a living so that
We and our loved ones can survive,
We deal with reality now
Like it's a wake-up call every moment,
Get busier day by day
Like there's no time left,
Keeping missing our friends
Whom we hadn't seen in a while,
A lot has changed
When we look back in the past,
Things are not like they used to anymore,
We have changed so much
That we can't recognize ourselves
Who we were in those times,
There are a lot more surprises left
In our lives to see,
A lot more phases left
Where we need to unwind,
But there is always that one question
That's deep within our souls,
Are we happy about what we experience?
Or, are we just surviving with it
To somehow call it a lifetime?
