Earth
Earth
There was a subtle smile on her face
For the tiniest of raindrops had fallen
A long forgotten feeling of happiness she felt
But alas! Are there any tree roots to hold them back?
There was a faint tinge of glow on her face
For the garbage strewn since long was being cleaned
A renewed sensation of freshness she felt
But alas! What about the innumerable plastic bits buried deep inside?
There was a visible excitement on her face
For the accidentally sown seed had sprung up
A motherly affection and love she felt
But alas! How long would it survive before being chopped off for construction?
There was a pleasant fondness on her face
For the Blue whale had just given birth much to her rejoice
A sweet and cuddly joy she felt
But alas! How to reduce water pollutants and save the endangered from becoming extinct?
She - The Mother Earth is all encompassing
The Residents of our Nation are forever thankful
For all that she has given to us
Let us all do our best to save her
The smile, glow, excitement and fondness
Would always be hers and ours if we care
And keep her clean and green
Oh dear Mother! We revere thy patience
