Marriage - From Heaven To Hell

 It was touted as the biggest day of life

The wedlock was supposed to provide the key to heaven

Expectations ran sky high

Life is all going to be bliss and peace all around

But life often is a cruel joke

The sacred moment and solemn oaths turned sacrilegious

It was war all around with no trace of peace

 Incompatibility led to an existential crisis

For every step that was put forward

There was a huge drag from behind

One step forward, two steps backward

The journey of life took a reverse swing

Those perceived romantic lives and pictures of grace

Faded away like a midsummer dream

There remained only desert and sands, with oasis nowhere in sight

Daily life became a saga of hate

Each day brought in a new Avtar of Demon

Days turned into endless moments of suffering

The marriage turned living testimonial of a ruin

after a preceding glorious pre-marriage audacity of hope in life

And turned bitter into a nightmare that has no end.

Marriages may be made in heaven

But when it breaks

its fury can certainly unlock

the gigantic gateway to hell and beyond
