Remember Them

We may have won many wars,

But we have also lost a few brave ones,

We may remember the victories,

But we should also remember those

Who sacrificed themselves for it,

What is it that could be done for them?

For their sacrifices,

For their families who still grieve,

Isn't it enough for the world

To see this pain?

Or,

It's just another day for them

Like it used to be,

There are many who

Will still enlist,

Honor their country first

Just like they did,

There are many who will

Still, come forward to

Put their lives on the line,

For the motherland they love,

Just like they did,

What can we do more

To protect them

Like they have

Always protected us?

How shall we keep

The promise of

The safety of their loved ones

Like they had

Always promised ours?
