A Christmas Carol!!!

What is the remedy

To this malefic fever,

That burns me within,

With chills yet I shiver?

A sonnet of chaos,

A poem of terror,

A song of fear,

An essay of horror.

A lesson in the past,

Beckons from the mirror,

And urges me so often

To amend all error.

A gaze upon thy face,

So pale in color,

Is enough to rob one of

The sense of valor.

I feel the time has frozen,

Yet flows like a river.

A glimpse back in ages,

The ghost of my lover.
