Building Sand Castles
Building Sand Castles
Building sand castles on the seashore
With sand on our hands and sand on our clothes
Quite a few storeys we built with windows and doors
And still kept trying to add a few more
"You smoothen the walls ", mother would say
"While I make a pool and a garden to swim and play "
And Dad and my siblings would look for stones and shells
To deck up its walls which turned out ever so well
Later at night the sea so strong and rude
With a sweep of hands and kick of its boots
Brazen like hooligans, did forcefully intrude
Wiped away our castle right off its roots
So the next day again we reached the seashore
And with sand on our hands and sand on our clothes
We built a new castle on the sandy floor
With many more storeys, windows, and doors.
