Wait Dear Time
Wait Dear Time
I thought I'd take out some time for you
Rest my head on your shoulder and share memories few
Little I realized how fast time flies
I now stand at the threshold to bid a final goodbye
Wait dear time, please slow down your pace
I have dear ones to hug, I have friends to embrace
I have thanks to say and my wrongs to regret
Imbibe the beauty of sunrise , before my final sunset
I have hands to shake and kisses to give
I have to ask folks to remember to forget and forgive
I have to race against you dear time and hymns and prayers to raise
Thank God for HIS mercy and for HIS everlasting grace.
