Why The Time Is So Punctual
Why The Time Is So Punctual
Licking my Ice-cream I please myself,
Faster the melting, it starts trickling on my palm.
Writing I learned, wonderfully in the exam,
"Last five minutes please" exclaims teacher.
Expressing myself in a speech,
Breaking my flow, Warning bell yields to wind me up.
And I wonder, Why the time is so punctual.
Getting ready, staring the image in a mirror,
The wall clock keeps me prompting nonstop.
In my deep thoughts, I reach my own pace,
With a suspicious look, boss points to his watch.
And I wonder, Why the time is so punctual.
Holding the hand of mom, feeling warmth in her touch,
The horn of the train compels me to apart.
Teasing and fighting with siblings,
Ends up with distant mature relations.
And I wonder, Why the time is so punctual.
Capturing the beautiful sunset in my eyes,
The darkness of twilight shadows the site.
Feeling the pride of my vigorous adolescence,
Increased candles on birthday cake next year,
Burns me within for moments left dead behind.
Breath in most precious moments
Does not last for longer.
And I wonder, Why the time is so punctual.
More the time lapses...
More you hold me tight.
Only the moment I don't doubt-
Why the time is so punctual.
Oh, My dear, I am damn sure
Walking with your hand in hand
The Road, the time, the energy
Will go on and on and on forever.
And I need not wonder,
Why the time is so punctual.
