Talk About Love

"I'll give my life for you," he said.

She looked at him, closed her eyes, shook her head, and let out a deep breath.

"My heart and soul is for you," he continued, but she had already turned around and walked to the bus stop.

He stood beside her as she waited for her bus, "Won't you say anything? I wanted to -"

"You are ready to give your life for me?" She turned and asked.

"Yes," he said, "Please come on a date -"

"You have only seen me pass this place a few times, and you want to give your life for me?"

"Yes, I love you."

"More than you love your mother who gave birth to you?"

He looked away. His heartbeat started to rise.

"Give that a thought and tell me a reason why a woman should be interested in a man who forgets the most important woman in his life for a woman he barely knows," she said and boarded the bus.

He stayed at the bus stop, thinking on her words for long. On his way back home, he stopped to buy his mother's favorite sweets.
