Platonic Touch

So impressed with the friend of my cousin who was not only studying for her higher education but also giving tuitions to support her family. Listening about her, my dreamy world had wanted to trust her, with a surety that there was no chance of receiving backlash. Confident of my debonair personality and future success, I wanted to win her heart without even beholding her once. Meeting my cousin after so long and knowing about her close friend was a unique experience and the nascent love had wanted to mushroom.

Collecting the postal address, I wrote my heart out on letter and after fifteen days I got the letter from her as billet-doux and her red ink had written inside 'I love you'. This was a unique happiness for me, and I was flying all across the azure sky with my happy wings. So many a thought clasped me and I wove many a dream how to meet her, how to introduce me, how to say that I was impressed with her personality, and she had become the permanent sweet ache of my heart.

In second letter, I asked for her photo, but she didn't send, instead, she wanted me to come to her place after my engineering with a comfortable job of handsome salary to ask her hand from her parents. Smiling and kissing the letter, I wrote my third letter, convincing that I would fulfil all her dream, and we would unite soon to write one epoch making love story deciding not to meet each other even for once.

Time sprinted and I finished my engineering through eight semesters. This time she gave one landline number and I talked to her for a while. She insisted me to try for a good job to settle in life. Promising her, I started preparing for the job for renowned organizations. After couple of months, I got my feet in one renowned organization and conveyed the same via letter giving her my first mobile number. This time, she wrote about the crisis that she and her family had faced and the situation had made her father to take one decision for which she would marry someone else.

One day, an unknown number hit my mobile and it was she releasing her soul and non-transferable body for Platonic touch of my words for the last time before submission of her life to another destined person.
