Q. What is the duration of the contest?

A. The contest will run from 18th November 2019 to 15th February 2020. Entries submitted until 15th February 2020, 23:59 hours will be included in the contest

 

Q. Who can participate in the contest?

A. The contest is open to all students currently studying in any school in India from class 4 to class 12. The contest is open to all TEACHERS also.

 

Q. What are the participant categories?

A. For this competition, the participants are divided into 3 categories – Class 4 to Class7, Class 8 to Class 12 and TEACHERS.

 

Q. What are the content categories?

A. For this competition, stories, poems, and quotes will be considered as different content categories.

 

Q. What if my school name is not listed?

A. In case your school name is not listed under the respective pin code, please select others and add the name of your school in the given field.

 

Q. What are the prizes?

A. There are multiple prizes to be won at the national level and school level. Top 3 winners under each participant category, content category (story, poem, and quote) and language of the contest will be given prizes and selected entries will get published as book/e-book. Besides, there are multiple prizes to be won for participating schools as well. Refer- Prize section

 

Q. Are there separate prizes for all languages?

A. Yes. There are language-wise categories for prizes.

 

Q. How will the winners be judged?

A. The winners shall be selected on the basis of the combination of the score given by StoryMirror editorial panel, number of likes, views, comments, ratings on the content; and votes received during the voting process. 

 

Q. Where do I need to submit my content?

A. Entries have to be submitted on https://contest.storymirror.com/sswc2019 only. Any entry submitted from outside the above-mentioned link/mode will not be taken into consideration.

 

Q. What kind of content can I submit?

A. This contest permits the entry of stories, poems, and quotes. Other entries like articles and essays/blogs will not be part of the competition.

 

Q. Is there a limit on the number of content that I can submit?

A. There is no limit to the number of submissions in any category. You can submit as many stories and poems as you want. More submission will increase your chances of winning.

 

Q. Is there any word limit?

A. No, there is no maximum word limit. 

 

Q. What all languages can I submit in?

A. You can submit stories, poems and/or quotes in English, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Odia, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. You can submit content in more than one language.

 

Q. Is there any theme and topic?

A. There are no themes and topics for this contest and you can write stories and poems in any genre. 

 

Q. Both my children want to participate in the competition. Can they participate from the same account?

A. No, for each participant, they need to participate through a separate account. 

 

Q. How do I know when my content will go live?

A. Your content goes through an editorial process post submission and goes live on https://storymirror.com usually within 5-7 working days. However, to check the current status of the content, you can click on ‘For Approvals’ section in your profile on https://storymirror.com
