A Child's Fantasy

A child's fantasy is limitless,

There are many things that he witness.

Watching the sky,

He thinks, why only birds can fly.

He assumes different shapes in the clouds,

And wonders how they get these animal like cutouts.

Watching the fishes swim,

He jumps in the stream.

Catching a fish in hand,

He finds, it cannot breathe on land.

Playing in the soil,

He discovers earthworm's turmoil.

Pebbles in the soil sometimes hurt him,

And to his mother, he screams.

He cries in her lap,

His mother says, all will be fine just take a nap.

Watching the moon,

He doesn't want to sleep so soon.

Seeing the stars,

He thinks, why they are so far.

On the sand, he writes his name,

With joy, he exclaims.

He makes sandcastles,

And tells stories about battles.

On a paper, with colours,

He draws beautiful flowers.

Seeing the colorful butterflies,

He thinks, he is in paradise.

The world around appears full of surprises,

In his mind, to God, he says.

The nature is so creative,

That every day here looks festive.
