A Dreamer's Journey
A Dreamer's Journey
I am a dreamer, who wanders free,
My heart is filled with wonder, as far as the eye can see.
I roam through fields of gold, and hear the wise,
Who teach me all about the earth, and the secrets that it hides.
One day I heard a strange new word,
"Transgenic plants," they whispered, and my curiosity was stirred.
I asked what it meant, and they told me with a grin,
That these were special plants, with genes that had been spun.
I was unsure, I had always thought,
That tampering with nature was a thing to be fought.
But science assured me, that these plants were safe,
And that they could help feed the world, with a better yield to take.
As I roamed through the fields so free,
My heart was filled with a new decree.
Transgenic plants, a concept once fought,
Could now help farmers grow more food, without a single doubt
I saw the beauty in these plants, and the hope that they could bring,
To a world that's always hungry, and to farmers, who work and sing.
My heart was filled with wonder, and my mind was open wide,
I knew that science had a role, in the fields that stretched so wide.
I saw my farmer friends plant transgenic crops with care,
And I watched as they grew stronger, with more food than they could bear.
I knew that this was just the start, of a journey that would unfold,
Of science, and of nature, and of stories yet untold.
For I am a dreamer, and my heart is filled with grace,
I know that science and nature, can work hand in hand, in this place.
