A family
A family
A smiling mother she sees,
The moment she returns home from school,
And the sudden babbling sounds of her baby brother,
Embraces her with homeliness and drags her in.
At night when her father returns,
It makes her little heart feel complete, at last,
And sitting together on the white couch,
Huddled together, cuddling one another after a hearty dinner,
Makes her beam radiantly at all of them.
She knows with an incredible certainty,
That they are the ones whom she can depend on, most loyal to her,
Most loving, helpful and the ones fostering her happy growth,
Those who make the small flat,
A lovely home, always luring her towards it,
Regardless of how big or magnificent of a place she is in.
This world of ours, that she has made her acquaintance only some years ago,
She has already learned what love, care, respect, and joy are,
For she is privileged to have a wonderful family.
