A Prayer for My Country

Thee shall not steal Votes!

Heavenly Father, creator of all earthly lights, and darkness. 

As a country, we pray to you,

To heal us after a brutal election of 2021.

We had chosen our leaders to guide us by your commands, 

Men of decorum and truth.

However, the Triangle men robbed Ugandans in daylight,

Using the Electoral Commission.

The EC falsified the outcome of the elections using NBS TV. 

These ruthless men deployed the army on the streets,

To deter the public outcry and debate.

Holy Father, teach us not to rely on mortals, 

Men who cannot be saved from their unworthy desire,

Men who steal votes, grab land, persecute others, and suppress freedoms of expression,

God forgive such men who falsely imprison and torture others.

For you saw the fraudulent presidential, legislative and district elections. 

But we have faith in your mercy, and in your garden of life,

And the promise of ascendancy to your humble servants. 

Heavenly father, you're the king of kings.

And the Lord of lords, 

For you live and reign over everything in our banana republic,

Deliver us from the men who came by night in 1986.

We have been victims of every election robbery since 1996.

Give us our universal freedoms,

And grant us eternal peace and harmony, Bless our devoted countrymen, 

Also, forgive the souls of these heartless men.

Have mercy on all the freedom fighters, Men and boys who have been brutally killed,

And those who have been severely tortured by the men in uniform.

The men we pay to safeguard our lives and properties. 

Stregthen all the illegal prisoners, 

Men of conscience still held in "safe houses" and military barracks,

Heal the pain of their parents, children, fathers and mothers.

Let your gospel be known in our country and elsewhere in the world. 

Holy father, we ask all these through your name.
