swaddles the sun
As it smiles upon
the golden sand
warmth is felt to toes
Of those
who walk amongst the beach
Sounds of the waves
are greetings,
welcoming.
Alluring to the eye
Beauty in sight
Sirens sing in the distance
to some they hypnotize
reeling them closer
sending in tides
not to embrace
In disguise
pulls back
to take them under
Beautiful day birthed
A watery slumber.
