Conundrum of Career Selection
Conundrum of Career Selection
I'm searching in every nook and cranny,
Yet don't find my mouse with an agility uncanny;
He, a distinguished gentle-mouse, has the ball in his coat,
To shift lives, and 'A Suitable Career' is his name people quote.
The agility of this mouse is seasonal past his slumber,
Pollinosis of stream selection is here to cumber;
Should I direct my feet with hereditary hand of smith,
Towards plaintiffs and lawsuits is the general verdict's pith.
Eschewed by the burden of complex disputes of people's lives and drudgery,
The mouse sprinted through a path buttery;
Hereditary reminds of my forebrain's deviation,
To serve as healer of ailments and medication.
Nervy mouse noticed my diffidence and uncertainty,
Darted from behind the curtains and vanished he;
Psychiatrist considered I, mustering last bits of hope to ponder,
My impulsive approaches and hot head turned it all in vain.
Grabbed a glimpse of my indecisiveness yet again the mouse,
Threw into a blue funk and fled from the house;
Chased him down the street as despair took over me,
And I gaped at everyone already in hold of their mice.
