The list of prejudices against women are long,

But they are most prejudiced when their periods are on.

It seems, menstruation, a natural occurrence, 

Is unnaturally over judged by our patriarchal jurisprudence. 

Suddenly, during periods, we are forced to play the touch-me-not game,

And are asked to distance ourselves from others by this excuse lame.

What's more, it is considered a taboo topic,

Never to be openly discussed anywhere in public.

We are barred from entering temples,

We are treated then as impure samples.

The moral polices of our society scheme against us,

We are made to feel impure and inferior in status.

Many poor girls are even denied sanitary pads,

They are forced to use dirty clothes and other discarded rags.

We are forced to abide by these societal norms,

And are advised not to speak of reform.

Lets see, how long intelligent women would put up with this,

Surely, they would fight tooth and nail against such prejudice. 

They would surely clear this mess,

Rescuing themselves from such distress.
