My Mirror!
My Mirror!
I'll not forget to steal a glance in a hurry nor to have a look when I'm in merry.
It cries when I do, it laughs when I do and yeah it blushes too, just like me.
Captures intricately my imperfections, shows them back,
Reminding me that I shall embrace them and not be sad, instead be happy to be unique.
The mirror, when
I look closely into makes me feel beautiful and wants me to gaze at myself endlessly.
Those eyes staring back at me are a constant reminder
Of how every inch of this skin is my own and I really should own it,
In my mirror, I'd see everything that I wish to see and not all that is there to see.
It's a reminder that I'm never alone but accompanied by my own companionship,
In my nothingness it gives me hope to look for something,
To imagine the ideal person I aspire to be.
