Our Journey

When I see into your eyes, I can see an oppressed flame.

Nothing hurts more than having nothing left to say.

I know it's hard to share your pain when they are helpless to do a thing.

It's hard to hold you when we stand so far away. 

As the sun rises and falls, we both walk our paths the same.

When feeling your touch in the wind ignites a fire that doesn't burn the same.

I tell you never mind the darkness though we both do the same.

We will keep moving on and don't know why. Maybe it's just ingrained in who we are. 

I hope that at the end of the road, our paths will cross, and we will finally embrace.

After all the heartache, will your touch be as sweet as the touch of something easily attained?
