Poor But Happy

Yes I am happy,

I live in slums

Reside in cottages

With no comforts

Wear rags as garments

Get little or no meals

But still I am happy 

My condition arouses pity and pathos

But poverty is my strength

I get relaxed sleep every night

As have nothing to be stolen.

Yes i am happy,

With my wife and children

And my old guardians

We live congested

With less earnings

But still are happy 

As we don't kill relationships

Nor murder sentiments

We share everything,

care for everyone.

Yes I am happy

I have no or little education

Are called uncivilized.

But still are happy.

As we don't blindly run 

To earn more and more money.

We live, celebrate and die on roads.

We live satisfied for what we have

Neither cry for what we don't

Nor feel jealous for what others have.

We have our smile real and pure,

Not the fake and plastic one like you have.

Yes, i am poor but happy!!
