SOCIETY AND TIME

Society will give opinions. We will mandate it and find it hard to obey. 

Am bothered. I have a question. Who made the universal decision that 12 noon is the appropriate time to eat lunch? Who made the decision that 1min should be 60secs and 1hr should be 60mins? Who made the decision that we have to go through kindergarten and crèche...To make it in college? Come to think of it! Who made the decision of giving every day in a week a name? Who made the universal decision that February should be the only weak month with 28 days? Who mandated 29 days of February to be a leap, making it 366 days? Who said a leap should occur every 4 years? Think bout this! These are questions I've been asking myself for years...Nd have come to realize that time itself was created by God and its perception was created by humans with intellectuals and it was practicalized by humanity and materialized by the clock we put on the walls and the watch we put on our wrists...That's why there's nowhere you can go in this world and not find a clock. That's what makes us the society Yes, we're the society...We make decisions, we mandate them, and find it hard to follow what we make as a way of life. Society says you should brush your teeth at least thrice daily, we mandated it and still find it hard to brush twice a day. Society believes at 25 you should be done with university and have a career of your own. Still, you'll see @34 who doesn't have a single career talkless of a job, roaming around the street and running after bus drivers for chicken change so as to smoke.Society has created a one-time fit for all ways of life thinking we can all wear the same pair of shoes and if we later realize they don't fit, we start to blame it on ourselves. My point is to stop letting society's clock dictate how far you'll go in life. Create yo time. Your time is different from my time! And just because you are not what society expects you to be at this time doesn't make yo late. It's not how old you are or how brilliant you are that determines success in life. It's how you adapt and adjust from yo mistakes with the time that makes you, you. Create yo time ----Use it wisely -
