Abstract Others

Sometimes

Sometimes

And sometimes I really feel sudden,

Strong desire to run away from everything,

To switch my phone off and lock it in the last drawer of my wardrobe,

To tear off my schedule into pieces and surrender it to the earth for its breakfast,

And turn instinctively to the woods to chase the shyly sneaking sunshine,

To play with the butterflies,

To make crowns from wildflowers,

To sit on the bank of some river or moor sweetly perfumed with azaleas,

My legs in placidly flowing water,

And eat chocolate cookies,

And then set off, in the evening, to the seaside or to a cliff,

To watch the sun setting.

To bask in its lovely red,

And then, at night, return to my off-white hammock,

To read my favorite 'Pride and Prejudice in the dim light of campfire & fireflies,

With a cup of self-made masala chai,

And fall asleep under the shivering stars,

Without being worried about tomorrow.

Sometimes I want to run away,

From Myself too,

Instead of being there and pretending to be strong.
