Whispers in Warm Spaces

(A girl's response to his beloved's message)

 

Your whispered words, a silken thread,

From heart to heart, a love unsaid.

Though doubts may rise, like shadows fall,

My love for you stands strong and tall.

God's light within, a guiding flame,

Witness to whispers of your name.

Each syllable, a sweet caress,

Then life itself, your love, no less.

Like honeyed praise upon my tongue, 

"Sweetheart," the song your lips have sung. 

A whispered plea, a lover's call,

I melt away, beneath it all.

So speak again, let words take flight,

"My sweetheart," a star in the darkest night.

For in that name, my soul finds rest,

In you, my love, forever blessed.
