The Black Portal

The black portal opens, when I am depressed!

My hazy teary eyes are the reason!

It has no place to land on

Mind you it’s not a prison!

When I am depressed, and I cry,

I am pushed to go there all alone!

My mind knows that it’s solitude,

Which is long gone!

I then panic in the darkness there

In the hope to get out soon!

But oh boy!

I do feel like a loony toon!

In the midst of all this, I wonder

Why is it me alone here?

I then understand that I have no one to say

“Hey! To escape you have to come this way!”

And then I find my path back!

I rescue myself through a crack!

I find the other me here alone!

I join my hand with her before she is gone!

And that’s how I come back to reality!

But then I again start feeling lonely!

And thus the cycle begins again,

And leaves me alone in the old black den...
