The Demon

For centuries, little by little it made its place in the peoples' heart;

Untamed and Unleashed,

It waited for the goodness to die,

Moment by moment,

And ensured it read the confided secrets, deep desires and sadist inhibitions,

That turned man to beast,

That defied logic,

And killed love and compassion.

Till no more nectar of truth could defend itself against its luxurious lies,

And then it told man:

"To live, you must snatch the existence of thousand happy faces",

"To dream, you must kill the hope that binds humanity",

" To conquer, you must ensure you are not challenged again"

It gave fuel to man's fears,

For more the fear, less the creativity,

For more the fear, less the integrity,

But it did not know that one day its own servant man,

Would question its follies,

Would question its vices,

Would question its darkness with light,

That peeped from the window of his own consciousness,

And the demon would realize:

What death means in first place!

And the scream of silence,

Would eat up its own empire.
