The Light
The Light
I knew it was coming
I had known it for long
The reddish sky
The impish kid inside me
Waiting eagerly, always
It started with rain
And once the green was cleaned
I saw the falcons across my garden
Staring at a distance, horizon
Then followed the snow
With the whitest intentions
And I saw squirrels shivering
I found my food, cold
Then I saw the light
My pets were unaware
I took my favorite candy in pocket
And followed it, enchanted
...I left the front door open
