The Mirage Of Reality
The Mirage Of Reality
The only passage of light she could see
Through a single large window, old and weary
Trapped alone in a tower all her life,
She waited excitedly to reach and seek the outside world;
Wrapped in a cocoon of hope
Mesmerized by what she could see
through that single solitary window
She kept her heart on her sleeve;
Waited heartily to fly into the seemingly beautiful outside
Oblivious to the true imagery behind
A mere façade of reality completely blinded her;
When the time came, she set out on her new path
Unaware of what lay ahead,
Never having been outside
She roamed like a lost soul
Hoping she would be able to make her way
to the scenic creation, she beheld;
But as time broke her fragile bubble
A mist of sheer desolation held her
Confused about what she saw now,
A Heartless and a vicious world
Only to shut herself in fright;
The single hope ray that once
Shone through her solitude window
Now seemed like a distant mirage,
The once so bright and jovial girl,
Now miffed and timid
Long gone was her ebullient aura,
What did the world make of her?
A soul so bright and hopeful
Her eyes now brimmed with dread,
Wishing the ever so single mirage she had once seen
Would ever be the reality she hoped to be in
