The Neighbour
The Neighbour
Family is something you
Can't choose, neither is
the neighbour is chosen by you.
All of that only the heavens can.
Such a neighbour I face;
Never helpful once in a while.
To me, she seems a disgrace.
Always seems so hostile.
With black eyes like a murderer;
And the rocking chair on the magenta carpet.
Each of my friends feared, even the beggar
To walk past her haunted house was a threat.
If any went to her house
None came back sane.
It was a palace of the mouse;
Seemed like a symbol of bane.
Every game we play,
Somehow the ball
Seems to find its way
Into her dining hall.
She has a collection of a thousand;
But never returns one.
With a grumpy face, she sits all-day
At her front porch, waiting
For someone who will never return.......
